O, Lord God, we pray today for many who grieve unspeakable loss of family, friends, and co-workers on 9/11/2001. We remember the first responders, the firemen, law enforcement officers, EMTs, military personnel, and others who placed themselves in harm's way on that day. We honor the memory of those who perished. Please, O God, hold close those who grieve and grant Your peace and comfort as only You can.
We thank You for Your hand of protection that rests upon our nation. Thank You for the diligence and vigilance of our Homeland Security, law enforcement, and military agencies that protect our borders and our communities. Please grant them continued wisdom and protection in the days ahead.
We pray also that as many prayers ascend for our nation on this day that Your hand will move in sovereign, supernatural ways and bring healing to our land. We so desperately need a fresh move of Your Spirit! We pray that Your grace will be shed upon the United States of America, the land that we love and cherish. May we remain a bastion of freedom and may we heed the declaration of Psalm 33:12, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD."
