From the WAR ROOM movie ministry team:
In all of Scripture,
Jesus' disciples only asked Him to teach them how to do one thing: to
pray (Luke 11:1). Jesus said, "Ask and it will be given you; seek and
you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you" (Matthew 7:7).
He also said, "But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door
and pray to your Father who is in secret. And Your Father who sees in
secret will reward you" (Matthew 6:6, ESV).
--Prayer is one of the greatest privileges and opportunities God has given to mankind.
--"The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective" (James 5:16).
--Prayer is to willingly encounter and interact with the Sovereign God of the universe.
--"For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil" (1 Peter 3:12).
--Prayer is the connection between the heart of finite man and the ear of an infinite God.
--"Pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians. 5:17, KJV).
--Prayer is about us getting in sync with God's heart; it's about His agenda, not ours.
--"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should" (Colossians 4:2-4).
"Our prayer is that God will use WAR ROOM as a catalyst to call the body of Christ to their knees in strategic prayer--for their marriages, families, churches, cities, and nations. We desperately need revival, and with the increased persecution on the horizon, we believe crying out to the Lord in unified prayer is fundamental for the church to see God work in power in our generation."
