The OPSC serves people seeking help through prayer with a 24/7/365 automated call line—1-800-4-PRAYER—that allows callers to access a variety of prayers and a devotional. Prayers are available in both English and Spanish. People seeking help through prayer can also submit requests in both English and Spanish online. These requests are forwarded to the Intercessory Prayer Network, a group of hundreds of volunteers across the nation who intercede over the needs.
Numerous resources are provided on mobilizing prayer in the local church and understanding the power of prayer and intercession. Additionally, the OPSC provides a number of prayer guides, a cross-generational curriculum (Prayer Basics), prayer alerts and updates, a monthly e-newsletter (PrayerServ), and many other helps that are downloadable from the OPSC Web site.
Caring for the spiritual, emotional, and relational wellbeing of ministers and their families across the Assemblies of God Fellowship is also an important focus of the OPSC. Prayer support for our ministers is a strong emphasis. Additionally, resources are being developed that pertain to the spiritual formation of both leadership and laity, emphasizing spiritual disciplines that are vital to maintaining an intimate relationship with God.
